Firing yourself increases your business sale value for one simple reason

Moving your business from “owner operated” to “professionally managed” increases your sale value for one simple reason:

Transferability.

Would you buy a house if the previous owner had to stay to work the oven and AC?

Would you buy a car if only the previous owner knew how to drive it?

Probably not.

And if you did, you’d pay a lot less for it.

Same thing happens with businesses.

If the buyer needs YOU to stick around and make it work, they’re not really buying a business.

They’re buying a complicated job with your name on it.

And they’ll pay accordingly.

The more the business depends on you, the less a buyer will pay.

The less the business needs you, the more it’s worth.

The easiest way to double your valuation?

Fire yourself.

Build a business that runs without you.

That’s what buyers actually pay for.

I grew a company to eight figures and built it to run without me. Now I help owners of $1–5M service businesses do the same, run my own work with AI, and write it all down in public.
